Teaching staff:

Josep A. Viudez i Carricondo, Industrial Technical Engineer. Project engineer, construction manager, commissioning officer, maintenance manager and head of operation (maintenance, distribution and production) of water distribution company, in the province of Tarragona.

He has included in this course all the theoretical and practical knowledge that he has had to use in his professional life, eliminating all that is unnecessary.

Targets:

In this course the student will know:

  • The phenomena that causes corrosion.
  • The protection systems will use the most suitable for each case.
  • To project a passive and active cathodic protection system.
  • Specify the cathodic protection teams.
  • Protect structures against external influences (power lines, electrical networks and other cathodic protections).
  • Install, start up and maintain a system of cathodic protection.
