Presentation: | The impact of corrosion on our society leads to unimaginable costs. In general, in normal conditions of exposure, the useful life of a reinforced concrete structure and therefore its associated maintenance costs are conditioned by the degree of corrosion impact, which is a pathology that, once initiated, goes progressing over time to provoke visible structural damage that requires costly repair operations and service interruptions. Acting preventively on the corrosion phenomenon is the key to reducing the overall maintenance costs of a structure. But for this it is necessary to be able to identify the state of impact prematurely and thus be able to make a temporary forecast of when the visible damages will occur. This day will present how to identify the degree of corrosion of a structure to be able to establish predictions of future affections and how thanks to this information treatments with technologies certificated with DIT + can be applied that will allow to reduce the costs of maintenance of fine structures to 60% and optimize repair operations, with savings of up to 50%. |
