15 students
Duration: 24 hours
Teaching staff: Agustí Jardí. Agronomist engineer Consultant BIM. Partner of Apogea Virtual Building Solutions. President of the BIM Committee of the COEAC, Member of the commission Construimos el futuro de Catalunya _ ITeC, and member of the Commission esBIM of the Ministry of Development

Targets:

The introduction of BIM in our country is unstoppable. It will be a matter of tuning the final calendar, but the roadmap marked by the administrations fixed in 2018 as the beginning of the obligation to use the BIM for the development of the project in all its phases in Contracts with the public administration; both at the Catalan level - Comisión Construimos el Futuro - como a nivel Español - "Comisión esBIM"

On the other hand, the private developers begin to know their potential and will also be an indispensable requirement. The tractor effect that public administrations will generate, as has happened in other countries, will be transferred to the private sector

Right now we are in a similar situation to the one of 20-25 years ago, where the change in the use of the "Rottring" to the CAD began to be generated. Well, now it's from the CAD to the BIM. It is a natural evolution. Any agent in the construction sector, who wants to remain in the market, will have no choice but to recycle and start using the BIM tools and methodologies.

The objective of this course is that the student understands that it is the BIM, and its main differences with respect to the CAD, as well as the work method that implies the use of this type of applications, and can have enough knowledge to work with the Revit Basic-level application.

At the end of the course, the student will acquire the basic architectural modeling, documentation and work skills in terms of interoperability to be able to address any design process with Revit.

Type of teaching:
As a basis for the training process, the actual practice of a project will be used. In this course we will use as a driver a type project for a warehouse. From this practical case, the usual processes and practices that are carried out during a project of this type in an office will be developed. Through it, the basic tools of the application will be learned.

To know the possibilities of this application, we recommend the video of an example of warehouse warehouse made in Revit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq4ynnuyPSI

Documentation:

The following educational material will be provided:

  • Copy of transparencies / summary of the concepts and procedures explained in class.
  • Copy of the evolution of the project in format of REVIT, (.rvt) of each subject, with the advance, to guarantee the correct follow-up of the course of all the students
  • REVIT work template
  • Documentation reference of the project. (CAD, pdf, ...)
  • BIM type objects, to enter the project

To all the students registered, and before the beginning of the course, the instructions will be sent on how to download the software. They must be installed before the classes begin. A download link will also be sent to all the teaching material
