The activity will take place in the Hort de la Xicòria in the town of Montblanc, which is located on the outskirts, far from the light pollution, two minutes by car from the cemetery, which will be the meeting point.

What is the activity:


An activity that combines the introduction to astronomy and a nocturnal naturist tour. There will be a walk where you will talk about the different species of nocturnal birds of prey present in the territory, as well as from bats and other species of wildlife that can be found during the night.

Once removed from the light pollution, with the help of a laser pointer, we will learn to recognize the types of stars and constellations present in the sky, and the mythology, tales and legends that these have associated with. During the activity we will discuss the different objects present in the universe and solve the doubts and questions that may arise.

It is recommended to wear warm clothes and those who want the sandwich for dinner.
Targets:
- Recognize the different constellations present in the sky in our latitude.
- Learn to differentiate the stars from the planets by observing the naked eye.
- Recognize the different cardinal points by observing the constellations.
- Know the interpretations that the ancient civilizations did in the sky together with the mythological histories of the observation of the constellations.
- Learn to differentiate the songs from night raptors.
- Learn the main characteristics of the nocturnal fauna present in our term.
