Targets: To train technicians to be able to design solar PVT installations for self-consumption in all the modes that the RD 900/2015 contemplates, use a program of calculation of energy valorisation and definition of the consumption profiles.
Photovoltaic consumption is a reality that will increasingly be implemented in Catalonia, within the strategic plan of the Transition Energy of Catalonia and the impulse that leads the ICAEN.

1. Regulatory framework and basic concepts

Legal framework of self-consumption of the RD 900/2015.

Technical implications of RD Autoconsum:
- How to size based on the RD
- Where to locate counters and why.
- How the charges affect self-consumption.
- Shared Autoconsum. Options


2. Fundamentals of design and operation
This block explains the basic characteristics of all the equipment and it appears that it is part of a solar installation (modules, undulating, electric switchgear, etc.).

3. Schemes of the photovoltaic installations of self-consumption  
This block presents the basic configuration diagrams of all types of photovoltaic systems of self-consumption and the comparison with the other existing modalities (assisted, isolated and interconnected).

4. Calculation and design of photovoltaic solar photovoltaic installations
This block explains all the necessary concepts to make the dimensioning, as well as the   parameters of the current regulations that affect the calculation
Sizing of photovoltaic systems of self-consumption
- Optimal power calculation
- Calculation of the solar field
- Detail calculation (shadows, wiring, differential protections and magnatothermal, etc.)

5. Energy recovery
In this blog, the photovoltaic installation is economically valued in relation to the price of energy and the customer's existing consumer profile.

Principles of dimensioning of an instantaneous consumer self-consumption installation.

- Solar coverage vs. Autoconsum ratios.

- Valuation of the generated energy.

6. Calculation example with SUNNY DESIGN software
Resolution of an example with the SUNNY DESIGN software from SMA, one of the most adapted to the design for the mode of self-consumption, with a detailed definition of the curves of the monthly, annual and hourly consumption profile.


7. Visit to an installation
Group visit to see a photovoltaic solar photovoltaic installation, made with the RD 900/2015.
