| Teaching staff: | Carme Pineda, industrial engineering engineer at UPC, Degree in Chemistry from Northumbria University and Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from UPC. Specialized in acoustics. |
| Targets: | Be able to analyze acoustically a local one and prepare it for good sound insulation, and with good acoustic comfort as well. |
| Contents: | 1. Theory of sound and isolation: 1.1. Definition and concepts. 1.2. Simple wall Law of masses. Matching phenomenon. 1.3. Double wall 2. Reference regulations: 2.1. CTE-DB-HR (protection against noise). 2.2. Decree 176/2009, of November 10, which approves the Regulation of Law 16/2002, of June 28, on protection against acoustic contamination, and adapt the annexes. 2.3. Municipal ordinances regulating the noise and vibrations and the maps of acoustic capacity. 3. The measurement of the isolation. Previous measurement, where do we start from? 3.1. Necessary devices. 3.2. Measurement of airborne sound insulation: UNE-EN ISO 16283-1, UNE-EN ISO 717-1 and UNE-EN ISO 3382-2. 3.3. Noise-generating activities: 3.4. Groups. 3.5. Limit values of internal and external sound immission and acoustic isolation requirements between premises. 4. Sound insulation and acoustic comfort projects. 4.1. Content of an acoustic impact study. 4.2. Design and sizing of corrective measures. Floors, walls and floating floors. 4.3. Acoustic materials what are and how to place them. Suppliers. 4.4.
