Ricard Agustín Ripoll, director of Family Business Solutions and consultant for family businesses. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of family business.

Graduate in Business Studies and Master's in Marketing from ESADE, PPD (Executive Leadership Program) and PADE (Senior Management Program) for IESE and IMP (International Management Program) for INSEAD. Course in Systemic Family Therapy for the Hospital of Sant Pau and for the Vasco Navarra School in Family Therapy.

During his professional career, he has been CEO of Barnices Valentine and Industrias Bilbaínas del Embalaje and General Manager of Marcilla Coffee Systems, Riverwood and Mead Packaging, among other professional experiences.

Targets:

Facing the generational relief of the founders of the business is one of the most critical moments for the continuity of the family business. However, if the appropriate tools are properly prepared and prepared, it is possible to successfully carry out the generational relief and prevent the company from disappearing.
At the same time, this moment can also be a good opportunity to take advantage of the change in leadership, professionalize the business, improve communication and prepare the company for the challenges of the future. The objective of the seminar is, therefore, to guarantee the continuity of business over time and generations.

Targets:

  • Learn how to plan the generational relief in time (who, what and how).
  • Knowing which people should participate, how this process is concretized in commitments of the coming and forth generation.
  • Be clear about the duration of the process and how you can help the incoming and outbound generation.
  • Understand the implications (legal, fiscal, patrimonial, etc.) that have a process of generational relief.
  • Know how to diagnose the degree of professionalization we have and know what we need to do to adapt to future needs, both at the level of people, method and business model.
  • Come out with tools to improve intergenerational communication, between brothers, between cousins and relatives outside the business as well as to avoid and manage conflicts.
Contents:
The generational relief. We will learn to plan in time the generational relief (who, what and how) and the procedures to formalize it (Family Protocol and / or Family Pacts). We will also know the implications (legal, fiscal, patrimonial, etc.) that have a process of generational relief.

Professionalization. We will analyze how to make a diagnosis of the degree of professionalization we have in our family business and we will learn what we need to do to adapt ourselves to future needs, as regards human resources, method and business model.

Communication We will acquire the necessary tools to improve intergenerational communication, between brothers, between cousins and with relatives outside the business, as well as to avoid and manage conflicts.
