Josep Maria Ollé Martorell, municipal lighting technician from Reus from 1986 to 2018, associate professor of Luminotecnia of the URV from 2000 to 2018.
Targets:
Consolidate the basic concepts of the Luminotecnia

Update the knowledge about the new sources of lights (LED, BOP lamps ...) and its characterization

Know how to calculate energy efficient and sustainable outdoors lighting using computer calculations for lighting manufacturers.

Know how to discern in the documentation of a project, what are the parameters that intervene in the photometric calculation of an external lighting system, how to measure them and verify that they meet the current normative requirements

Contents:

1.- Nature of light. Type of vision Luminotonic magnitudes: luminous flux, luminous intensity, luminance, illumination, glare. (2h)

2.- Artificial light sources: types, most important characteristics, selection criteria (3h)

3.- The lights: electrical and photometric characteristics. Technical requirements required for lamps with led technology for outdoor lighting (2h)

4.- Photometric calculations of external lighting: (4h)
- Basics: light efficiency, energy efficiency, utilization factor, utilization, quality parameters
- Minimum levels of lighting according to the type of road CIE 115: 2010 and according to the sport activity UNE 12193
- Maximum levels of lighting according to RD 1890/2008 and technical guide of application
- Guide and design tips

5.- The computer programs of luminotécnica calculation by exteriors: (10h)
- Basic concepts of operation
- Installation of the photometric program and databases
- Handle menus with real examples of external calculations

6.- Energy efficient and sustainable outdoors lighting: (4h)
- Systems of saving and energy efficiency, reference ratios
- Light pollution, causes, negative affections on the environment and on people, technical aspects of the application regulations to minimize their negative effects

Recipients:
Technicians who have to design / supervise external lighting projects and / or direct installation works for external lighting
Documentation:
Tracking documentation will be delivered.
