He is a Topographic Technical Engineer from the UPC, holds a degree in Computer Engineering, specializing in Information Technologies, from the University of Lleida (UdL) and a Master's in Computer Engineering, specializing in BigData, also from the University of Lleida. He has a long experience in the field of Data Science both in the deployment and implementation of BigData / Yacht hybrid architectures, based on reference technologies for the processing of massive data in real time, as well as in the analysis and same study of data using different data mining techniques and Artificial Intelligence (machine learning). As a researcher he is involved in R&D projects, both at European and national or private level, related to data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, IoT and BigData applied in the domains of Industry 4.0 or efficient management. and resource-intelligent, mainly water. He is currently developing a doctoral thesis on optimal and autonomous control of industrial processes using reinforcement learning (AI) techniques.

Albert Merino , Researcher in the Smart Management Systems (SMS) unit of Eurecat. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering, a degree in Information Technology from the University of Lleida (UdL), a Master's in Computer Engineering, specializing in Video Games, from the University of Lleida (UdL), and is currently studying a Master's in Data Science. the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He has worked as a developer for all kinds of technological solutions with different programming languages and was part of the Research Group on Human-Computer Interaction and Data Integration (Griho), of the UdL, in the bioinformatics project Scalextric inMind. Currently collaborating with the Chair of Development of Healthy Organizations and Territories (DOTS Chair) of the UdL. As a researcher he is focused on the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning and IoT applied in the domain of Industry 4.0.

Marc Ribalta, Researcher in the Smart Management Systems (SMS) unit of Eurecat. He is a Computer Engineer, specializing in Software Engineering, from the University of Lleida (UdL) and has studied the Master in Computer Engineering, specializing in Big Data, also from the University of Lleida (UdL). He is currently developing a doctoral thesis in anomaly detection and predictive maintenance. He has worked as a data scientist for all kinds of technology projects with different artificial intelligence solutions. In the past, he was part of the Research Group on Human-Computer Interaction and Data Integration (Griho), at the University of Lleida, working with integration, query optimization and visualization of biological information. He is currently involved in anomaly detection, predictive maintenance and virtual sensor projects in the fields of water management, agriculture and automotive.

Juan Caubet , Director of the IT security unit of Eurecat. Telecommunications engineer and doctor in computer security from the UPC. He completed his doctoral thesis in the Information Security Group (ISG) of the UPC on identity management in structured peer-to-peer networks. In 2013 he spent time at the INRIA research center Nancy - Grand Est (France) where he had the opportunity to make great strides in his thesis. From 2014 to 2017 he was a lecturer in the Master's in Cybersecurity at La Salle University (Ramón Llull University). And for more than 4 years, he has been leading Eurecat's research in the field of Blockchain technology. Today, his research is focused on digital identity management (authentication and authorization), industrial cybersecurity, cryptography and Blockchain technology. Juan has published more than a dozen scientific articles related to his research, frequently writes outreach articles in the press, and acts as a guest speaker at numerous conferences and lectures.

Sergi Baiges, Mechanical Engineer from the URV, with a Master's in Robotics. Specializing in 3D printing technologies and industrial and collaborative robotics, with 5 years of experience in the field developing programming tasks, as well as the design of robotic cells and automation. Currently, following the same line of work, founder of Global Robot Solutions, offering solutions for improvement in industry 4.0 at the level of automation, accompanying companies in these processes and at the same time providing specific training.

?Objectives:

This postgraduate course will provide the necessary knowledge to stop being reactive and to be able to prevent factory equipment. Build an infrastructure that allows you to process all the information that is in the factory or within the specific environment. Analyze the information and be able to make decisions that make it not only easier to perform maintenance but also to improve processes and consequently improve the productivity and energy efficiency of the factory. That graduate professionals be able to design a system that allows for predictive maintenance in an industry by learning the use of big data analytics.

The objectives of the Postgraduate are the following:

  • Build an infrastructure that serves to use the information provided by sensors and other instruments and to provide a qualitative value to the whole production system.
  • Learn to observe the behavior of the machines, the type of production, the processes where both people and machines are involved ..., in order to allow them to propose changes to improve the productivity of the company.
  • That technologically speaking, they are able to keep up to date the different technologies of the company so that the production environment does not become obsolete.
  • Acquire sufficient knowledge to carry out the efficient management of energy in all its areas and to take advantage of the possibilities of renewable energies, as well as Smart Energy.

With the aim of facilitating the follow-up of the course for students residing outside the province of Barcelona and counties, this course will be broadcast by videoconference, allowing the live broadcast of the course via the Internet. Any user with an Internet connection can follow it live, from wherever they want.
