| Programming: | Within the construction sector we work with sensitive information and documents that involve a high level of both technical and economic responsibility. Human teams are becoming more complex and communication technologies, programs and platforms are changing. It is more difficult to control all this information, to be able to assign its authorship, to guarantee its veracity, that it has not been accidentally or fraudulently altered, to maintain its traceability throughout the process and, of course, its confidentiality. Lately we hear about computer technologies like Blockchain, digital signature, encryption and time stamps that promise to solve many of these problems. We have all heard that they are inviolable technologies, but we are often asked for an act of faith in taking it on. How do they work? Why are they so safe? Which agents are involved in the processes involved? What are the relationships between them? What role do cryptocurrencies play in all this? Can they be combined to strengthen their strengths and eliminate their weaknesses? Sooner or later, these technologies will affect aspects as diverse as the registration and evolution of competitions, proposals, projects and works, both in traditional and digital formats, visas and obtaining permits and licenses, validation by OCTs and insurance companies, building maintenance ... What other uses can they have within the sector? In this session they will try to shed light on all these and other questions. |
