The new version of the Pressure Equipment Regulations (REP) came into force on January 2, 2022.

Essentially, this update is motivated by the fact that pressure equipment installations have been affected by changes in European legislation: The classification, labeling and packaging of chemicals (RCLP) has been modified and this has affected the classification of pressure equipment.

In addition to adapting to European changes, this new version of the REP includes some new features. To mention a couple: RITE facilities that have pressure equipment must also comply with the stipulations of the REP from January 2, 2022. Also, the new REP has a new Technical Instruction that regulates liquefied natural gas terminal installations with a permissible pressure greater than 0.5 bar.

The aim of the course is that after participating, professionals can quickly resolve any regulatory questions that may arise. To do this, we will review the structure and contents of the new REP, pointing out the main novelties. We will also study the doubts that participants may have. Thus, when the time comes to apply it, it will be easier to quickly find the appropriate regulatory prescription, within an overview of the context.
