Addressed to:

Technicians, engineers and students in general who are interested in gaining knowledge about how corrosion works in metals and the means offered by industry to protect them, especially cathodic protection systems.

This course is aimed in particular at technicians who are dedicated to project engineering, the assembly and commissioning of installations, and personnel who maintain and operate industrial processes with metal structures exposed to the corrosion, whether buried, submerged or in concrete structures in the atmosphere.

Necessary Prerequisites: No technical prerequisites required. Yes with a basic level of general education.

Recommended Prerequisites: A lot of desire and dedicated time is required to study the course syllabus.

Targets:

The student will learn to:

  • Know the phenomena that cause corrosion.
  • Know the protection systems and use the most suitable ones in each case.
  • Know, calculate and design a passive and active cathodic protection system.
  • Specify the cathodic protection equipment.
  • Protect structures against external influences (power lines, railways and other cathodic protection).
  • Install, start up and maintain a cathodic protection system
NOTE: Registrations are carried out and managed from COGITI. You can also apply for registration on our website and we will then send you the direct link for definitive registration.
