This conference was organized on monumental Tarraco. Technological developments in a Roman city built as an example of a whole province.
Given its importance, the main monuments of the Roman Tarragona will be presented from a symbolic and ideological point of view, highlighting its technical innovations : the use of formwork concrete (opus cementicium) of large buildings, the large pier of pillars , the joint use of local stone quarries and the use of imported marble by sea for the great temples, the channeling of the waters, the public and private areas ...
This conference is addressed to the whole group and open to everyone in general, as they will deal with technical issues and will use abundant graphic material.
