A second edition of the course on the operation, selection and operation of centrifugal pumps has been organized, aimed at technical engineers or supervisors who are involved with centrifugal pumps.
OBJECTIVE: Optimize the system, reduce costs, save energy and reduce the environmental impact. Know the operation, the proper selection of the pumping equipment as well as identify and solve the typical problems of the operation.
COURSE PROGRAM:
1. Introduction to hydraulic machines: history, classification (volumetric, rotodynamic).
2. Hydraulic terms: definitions, units and devices to measure. Practical cases: pressure calculation applied to different types of liquids and systems of pumping.
3. Basic principles of pumps. Practical cases: calculation of the curve of the system and correction of the curve by viscosity.
4. Cavitation. Practical cases: calculation of NPHS available.
5. Control and operation of centrifugal pumps: control valve, parallel and serial pumps, variations of rotation speed and diameter of the roller, bypass system? Practical cases: several.
6. Hydraulic and mechanical design of centrifugal pumps.
7. Basic types of hydraulic engineering pumps.
8. Selection of centrifugal pumps.
DOCUMENTATION: course tracking documentation will be provided.
TEACHER: Ms. Paloma Paleo Cageao, Industrial Engineer, with more than nine years of experience in Flowserve as head of project. Instructor of courses and conferences on foundations of hydraulic pumps, systems and vibrations of the rotating equipment.
CALENDAR: from October 2 to 30, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
