The classification of hazardous locations for gases and vapors is done using the Standard EN 60079-10, but this standard is based on the assumption that a number of data are known (rate and degree of escape, degree of ventilation, efficiency of ventilation , etc.) which often offer many doubts.
The document Report UNE 20207 IN-Guide of application of the Standard EN 60079-10 collects a good number of experimental formulas, quantitative values and criteria of good practices to help to specify the results of the classification in zones.
That is why this course has been organized with the aim that the student, at the end of the course, be able to:
- Identify the existence of an explosive atmosphere.
- Classify the area and quantify it (volume of the atmosphere, geometry, duration, etc.).
- Decide correctly on the possible application of atmospheric explosive control systems.
AIMED AT: users who may have an ATEX on their premises or premises, facility designers who may be in or generate an ATEX, maintenance managers, occupational risk prevention managers, prevention service managers, manufacturers of machinery with risk of fire or explosion, manufacturer of machinery that does not present a risk of fire or explosion but is intended to operate in areas classified ATEX, manufacturers of any product intended for areas classified as ATEX or that can create them, engineers, engineering and consulting of all the above.
