The new virus is undoubtedly a type of swine flu, since it originates from a strain that infects the pigs. This origin has given rise to the nomenclature of "swine flu", widely used by the media in the first days of the epidemic.
The World Health Organization announced on April 30 that from now on they will refer to the A flu (H1N1) and viruses disease as "human influenza A virus (H1N1)" in place of "swine flu", in an attempt not to confuse the public about the risks of pork products.
The conference is structured in two parts:
- Technical and medical information about the Pandemic of the GRIP A. At the expense of Mr. Joan Guix i Oliver, Director of the Regional Service in the Camp de Tarragona of the Catalan Health Protection Agency.
- Knowledge needed to realize, implant, manage and maintain an emergency plan in case of influenza A pandemic in the company. In charge of Mr. Josep A. Viudez i Carricondo, Technician in Prevention of Occupational Risks (occupational safety). Coordinator of the pandemic influenza A monitoring committee and implementation of the emergency plan in your company.
