DESIGNBUILDER INTERMEDI , software created in England for the thermal, light and energy analysis of buildings; The program is designed to facilitate the complex calculation and simulation processes, and allows to project buildings and facilities with higher levels of comfort and lower energy consumption.
OBJECTIVE: Intensive training of DESIGNBUILDER software:
· Modeling in detail the components of greater complexity of the model such as closures, windows, devices of natural light.
· Modify in detail different artificial lighting systems, including control options according to the availability of natural light.
· Evaluate the energy savings derived from the use of natural light.
· Properly model natural ventilation to evaluate the behavior of buildings running in mechanical mode.
CONTENT OF THE COURSE (12 H):
In-depth analysis of key issues for the energy efficiency of the building:
? Satisfaction and shading.
? Natural ventilation.
? Lighting.
? Air conditioning systems.
*** INDISPENSABLE REQUIREMENT ***: the student will have to bring their computer (or a computer for every two students) to work with the program during the course. It is recommended that the first day of class begin a quarter of an hour before installing the software on each of the computers.

TEACHER: Arturo Ordóñez, Director of the company Sol · arq (Sustainable architectural solutions), which through an alliance with DB England, develops and promotes software for Spanish-speaking countries.
CALENDAR: March 9, 10 and 11, 2010 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
