The EN ISO 13849 standard, which quantifies the reliability of the command systems and replaces the current norm, the EN 954-1, which will be definitively annulled by the end of 2011. The EN ISO 13849 standard also allows, the use of software for security features.
The course will begin with a brief presentation of the current legal framework. Next, it enters the strategy proposed for the identification, analysis and evaluation of risk, as well as inherently safe design measures, protection and information adopted according to the aforementioned evaluation.
They will explain the different forms that develop the harmonized norms, altering the theoretical part with a practical case that is proposed to the students.
