Course DYNAMIC SIMULATION OF THERMAL SOLAR SYSTEMS IN BUILDINGS

CIRCULAR CODE: 58/10
ORGANIZES: CETIT

A course on DYNAMIC SIMULATION OF THERMAL SOLAR SYSTEMS IN BUILDINGS has been organized, which will begin at the end of October.

Dynamic simulation programs are the only valid procedures for designing and calculating a thermal solar energy system, since they integrate all the non-constant variables and allow to interrelate all the subfields of a system.

The design and detailed calculation of examples of thermal solar energy installations and dynamic simulation will be done through the ACSOL 2.5 software of the main solar thermal systems in buildings.

CONTENT OF THE COURSE (16 h):

? Regulations and legislation. Justification of the dynamic simulation to perform the calculations.
? Detailed calculation of shadows.
? Detailed calculation of pipes.
? Dynamic simulation with ACSOL 2.5: energy balance, consumption profiles, collector field connections, thermal losses, performance of the field of collectors, hours and temperatures of overheating.
? Main schemes in buildings.
? Resolution of examples with ACSOL 2.5

LEGISLATION AND REGULATION:

? RD 1027/2007, of July 20, Regulation of Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE).
? Instruction 4/2008, SIE, which regulates the requirements that must comply with the thermal installations in the buildings in Catalonia.
? RD 865/2003, of July 4, Hygienic-sanitary criteria for the prevention and control of legionellosis.
? Decree 21/2006 of February 14, Adoption of environmental criteria and eco-efficiency in buildings.
? Instruction 2/07, SIE, Clarifications on the regulatory dispositions to comply with the ITE in relation to the CTE and the decree of eco-efficiency.
? RD 314/2006, of March 17, Technical Building Code (CTE).

*** INDISPENSABLE REQUIREMENT ***: the student will have to bring their computer (or a computer for every two students) to work with the program during the course. It is recommended that the first day of class start a quarter of an hour before installing the software on each of the computers.
