Visit of WORKS AT THE ALBA PARK AND SINCOTRO

On July 15th (Friday), a visit to the Parc de l'Alba works will take place and will be held in Cerdanyola del Vallès.

Parc de l'Alba is one of the most strategic projects in Catalonia and aims to become a powerful engine for the scientific, technological and business competitiveness of southern Europe.

This action is creating an international knowledge pole - with the capacity to concentrate 40,000 jobs with high added value - in the center of the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona, in a strategic area that brings together a scientific equipment of European reference - the Alba synchrotron -, a state-level university campus - the Autonomous University of Barcelona-, and an exceptional concentration of knowledge infrastructures and of industrial and business parks.

The itinerary is as follows:

7.45 am Departure from Reus, Passeig Mata (before the residence of the pensioners).
08.00 Departure from Tarragona, Plaza Imperial Tàrraco (opposite the University)
During the journey there will be a stop for breakfast (not included in the price).
10:00 am Arrival at the Alba Park. Presentation by the staff of Parc Alba.
10.45 am Visit of the works.
Stop: polygeneration plant for electricity, cold and heat.
Bus route: electric coder substation.
Visit of the set of transformation stations.
12.00 Visit Sincotró Alba .
Presentation of the Sincotró Alba, with a lecturer guide of the CELLS Consortium.
Route through the interior.
1:00 pm End of the visit
1:30 p.m. Lunch buffet at the Cafeteria Orió from the Campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona .
5.30 pm Arrival

The Alba synchrotron is a top-level European research equipment. Its start-up will contribute to create an important concentration of institutions and companies of high scientific and technological level in its immediate surroundings, and will help to attract and retain in Catalonia the best researchers and professionals.
