On 2 December (Friday), a technical visit will take place at the Prat de Llobregat desalination plant .
ATLL (Aigües Ter Llobregat) is a public company of the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which supplies more than 100 municipalities in the counties of Barcelonès, Baix Llobregat, El Garraf, El Maresme, Alt Penedès, Vallès Oriental, Vallès Occidental, Anoia and La Selva.
In order to show how the desalination works, we offer you an interesting proposal for guided tours. In these visits, the whole process of desalination is explained in a didactic way, that includes / understands from the capture of water of the sea, to the storage to the deposits, happening through all the necessary steps to make it fit for the human consumption .
The itinerary of the output is as follows:
09.00 Departure from Reus, Passeig Mata (before the residence of the retirees).
09.15 pm Departure from Tarragona, Plaza Imperial Tàrraco (opposite the University).
10.15 p.m. Arrival at Prat de Llobregat. Presentation by the staff of the ATLL
10.30 am Guided tour of the complex.
12.30 am End of the visit
1.30 pm Return with the corresponding stops .
*** NOTE ***: If you do not reach a reasonable minimum number in each of the stops, the stop of Tarragona will be determined as the starting point.
