A register has been opened so that people affected by an ERTO or with a discontinuous fixed-term contract who benefit from the extraordinary benefit during the month of May 2021 can register and be eligible for aid.
Responsible body
The granting of this extraordinary aid corresponds to the General Directorate of Labor Relations, Self-Employment, Safety and Occupational Health of the Department of Business and Labor, with the collaboration, in the management and processing of the aid, of the Public Service of Employment of Catalonia.
Deadline to apply for help
The pre-registration form can be submitted from 9.00 am on 5 July 2021 until 3.00 pm on 15 July 2021.
Purpose
This aid aims to supplement the loss of purchasing power of people who have been affected by an ERTO, as a result of the total or partial suspension of their employment contracts, resulting from the preventive and containment measures adopted to alleviate the COVID-19, as well as of the people with fixed discontinuous contract beneficiaries of the extraordinary benefit foreseen in the article 9 of the Royal decree law 30/2020 of 29 September.
Beneficiaries:
Prior registration may be made by the following interested persons, who meet the requirements established in article 5 of Order EMT / 137/2021: a) Individuals employed by others, including workers with a fixed-term contract . b) Working members of cooperatives and labor societies and working members of cooperatives.
Amount of aid:
The amount awarded will vary according to the days that have been in a situation of an ERTO covid19, or according to the days of recognition of the extraordinary benefit for discontinuous fixed persons during the period from January 1 to 31 May 2021.
• From 1 to 90 days: 600 euros
• 91 days or more: 700 euros
General requirements
To access the registration, interested parties must meet the following requirements:
a) Have an address in a municipality of Catalonia.
b) Be in an active ERTO derived from COVID-19, with total or partial suspension of the contract, and that this ERTO coincides at least one day in the period between 1 and 31 May 2021.
c) That they are holders of the contributory unemployment benefit of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), or of the extraordinary benefit in the case of fixed-term (article 9 of Royal Decree-Law 30/2020, of 29 of December), or have pending the recognition of the benefit by the SEPE, derived from an ERTO within the same period indicated.
d) Not to have tax debts or with the Social Security (article 13 of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, general of subsidies).
e) The requirements provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General of Subsidies and other applicable regulations.
Pre-registration and applications:
The application procedure can be carried out electronically from 9 am on 5 July 2021 until 3 pm on 15 July 2021 using a pre-registration form:
• Registration will be open from 9 a.m. on July 5, 2021 until 3 p.m. on July 15, 2021.
• The order of registration will not determine the preference in the award.
• Registration in the register will act as an application and, therefore, no further formalities will be required.
• To register in the register, the applicant's digital signature will be required and will be done electronically.
