The Extraordinary General Meeting of the CETIT has unanimously approved two very important points for the future of our profession and the welfare of all the collegiate. On the one hand the Association is created to have an interlocutor facing the European sphere and, on the other hand, the facilities are expanded to adapt the physical space to our growth
The Extraordinary General Meeting was held on October 9 and unanimously approved these two important steps that had to be resolute and firmly in front of our needs as a group in clear professional expansion.
Regarding the creation of the Association, the decision taken is consistent with several reasons known to all and that mainly refer to the need to have a partner of Europe in the field of engineering. The Associations collaborate in the European field in the European Studies of Upper Education and in the accreditation to be Euroengineering. Up until now the accreditation had been done through the Association of Lleida but at present it could no longer be done. This disadvantage has prevented some of our colleagues from not being able to prove themselves before UAITIE. It should also be noted that in Spain almost all colleges have an association that covers their territory.
With regard to the main objectives of the Association, these are, in general, to bring together all the subjects of leisure, postgraduate training, the relationship with UAITIE and the relationship with Europe as well as professional defense before the institutions in the European framework. With respect to financing, this is done through activities, seeking alliances and subsidies, strategies that download expenses to the College. The associates will be all the collegiate, with a cost identical to the current quota divided into two receipts.
With regard to the expansion of the facilities, CETIT buys the second floor of the Avenue of Rome in order to remodel the current spaces with the purpose of improving the school activity and enabling the increase of the courses they are given This new acquisition entails a reorganization of the mezzanine floor plan that, among many aspects, will allow an improvement in the work space that will have an impact on collegiate attention even more efficiently.
The mezzanine will be used only for offices and professional services. In addition, the general archive will be adapted to facilitate its use and the assembly hall will be redesigned with the aim of making it more versatile. The lack of classrooms is therefore solved with the new facility where comfortable and practical spaces will be located to carry out approved and subsidized courses, detailing this important as it represents the download of expenses to the College.
The decisions taken during this Extraordinary General Meeting are essential for the future professional development of the College and for the future Association because they will have an impact on future generations who will enjoy this historic event.
