Self-employed, do you want to change your contribution base?

Self-employed people have up to four opportunities throughout the year to change their contribution base, and can raise or lower it depending on the circumstances of their business.

To date, the self-employed are still in the first of the three periods they have established to modify the contribution base and change the contribution during this year, as the last of the changes, from 1 October , would already affect 2023.

And what are the dates to change the fee?

  • Between 1 January and 31 March, with effect from 1 April.
  • Between April 1 and June 30, with effect from July 1.
  • Between 1 July and 30 September, with effect from 1 October.
  • Between 1 October and 31 December, with effect from 1 January of the following year.

Therefore, the self-employed who wish to do so have until 31 March to modify the contribution base of the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers and the contribution to be paid, within the limits allowed according to their age. If so, the fee will change from April 1st.
