On April 1, a new Social Security protocol entered into force, which establishes that employees who take medical leave due to temporary disability, IT, will no longer have to send the statement and documentation to their company , since it will be the administration itself that will take care of it electronically.
However, even if the employee is no longer required to submit the medical leave notice, from DADES and SERVEIS we consider it necessary for the employee to notify the management of the company that they will be absent from their workplace.
In this sense, the company can implement an internal regulation where the worker is obliged to report his absence before the start of the working day. In this way, the employer will be able to take the necessary organizational measures to fill the vacancy.
The company can also agree and include the need to give this notice in the employment contract.
