Siren test for the chemical sector in Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre, September 20, 2023

From the PLASEQTA work team, they announce that next Wednesday, September 20, at 11:00 a.m., the test of warning sirens to the population due to chemical risk of the attached Civil Protection alarm network will be carried out to the Tarragona Chemical Sector Plan (PLASEQTA) and Terres de l'Ebre.

The main objective of these types of exercises is to familiarize the population with warning sounds. In addition, these tests are necessary to evaluate the acoustic coverage of the sirens and to verify the operation of the equipment and the activation system.

As a novelty with respect to the tests carried out previously, in addition to activating the chemical risk sirens, a civil protection alert will be sent to mobile phones in the same area.

We invite you to actively participate in the test by practicing confinement at the moment you hear the sirens and receive the alert on your mobile, as well as spreading the word.
