THE DEPUTY IS ACCORDING TO THE MANIFESTO OF THE PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE OF THE CORRIDOR OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

They believe that it is a key infrastructure for social development

The president of the Diputació de Tarragona, Josep Poblet, reaffirmed the support of the supramunicipal institution in the construction of the Corredor del Mediterrani, considering that this infrastructure is very necessary for the economic and social development of the territory.

This was evident during the reception to representatives of the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Tarragona, headed by its president, Santiago Crivillé. During the meeting, at the Palau de la Diputació, the president of the professional school detailed to Josep Poblet the manifesto signed jointly by nine colleges of technical engineers from the counties of Tarragona.

This document shows that the corridor "becomes essential to promote the competitiveness of the single European market because it will provide the network of Spanish Mediterranean ports, as well as the various industrial estates affected by the current crisis, with enormous rail accessibility to the transport of merchandise ». All three of the State's territories also provide for manifestations in the same direction.

For the president of the Diputació, the Corredor represents the generation of added value and opens up expectations and possibilities for the future. For this reason, he argues that this "necessary and future" infrastructure will be located in the Mediterranean environment, highlighting that "relaunch dynamism and strengthen the motor role of the economic activity of the Camp de Tarragona and the Lands of the Ebro ".
