PRESENTATION OF SMART PARC TABACALERA IN TARRAGONA

In December 2011 the first PARK AND VERTICAL GARDENING was completed using the Babylon System, watered with sewerage.
This work is a world reference not only for its dimensions of the 3,200 m2 green facade, but also for its tertiary purification and as an example of urban biodiversity in the incorporation of melíferas plants, nutrients for birds and the incorporation of nests throughout the plant wall.
The park in horizontal has a sewage treatment plant that goes green through the green wall and is cleaned by an Optima sewage treatment plant that works with solar energy.

THE PROJECT KEYS

1. The recovery and purification of wastewater from the general network of the city, to promote the saving and efficiency in the management of water resources in its use for irrigation system.
2. Recovery and lamination of rainwater from the roofs of the pavilions to avoid the timely overload of the sanitation system and reduce the diffuse pollution that could be generated and increase the efficiency in the management of water resources.
3. The conditioning of the environment to protect and conserve the municipal historical and landscape heritage of the Smart Parc Tabacalera.
4. The promotion and promotion of energy saving and efficiency, applied in the public lighting of the environment and in the ventilated green facade.
5. The creation, equipment and development of technological infrastructures and of innovation, in the field of audiovisual and gardening.
