CREATION OF THE NEW TECHNICAL ENGINEERING TABLE AND ENGINEERING DEGREE IN CATALONIA (METGEC)

• Fourteen professional Catalan colleges have signed an agreement to create a table that will aim to enhance their professions, share common interests and jointly achieve better service and guarantees to society.

• The new table, which responds to the abbreviations METGEC, aims to become a space of opinion and work and, at the same time, dissemination of the joint activities of the professional schools that participate in the initiative.

The Professional Associations of Catalan Technical Engineers have signed an agreement to create the new Technical Engineering and Graduate in Engineering of Catalonia (METGEC) Bureau, which will aim to collaborate in the defense of the professions they represent , the dissemination of strategic consensus positions and the defense of the interests of the society related to engineering.

A permanent framework of collaboration and consultation is established
The professional schools that make up this new table are Catalan public law entities that bring together the technical engineers in their different intensifications or specialties, entities that among other purposes are intended to represent, regulate and monitor a Proper exercise of the profession, guaranteeing quality and willingness to serve society and citizens.

The METGEC aims to become a space for the exchange of ideas, opinion, collaboration and consultation, as well as the use of synergies, and also in a place where information is provided to the society on the field of engineering.

For this reason, a permanent framework of collaboration and consultation has been set up between all the signatory schools.
