The president of the General Council of Industrial Technical Engineering (COGITI), José Antonio Galdón Ruiz, met in Germany with businessmen and politicians from the city of Stuttgart and the state of Baden-Württemberg, from September 16 to 18 , with the aim of encouraging the recruitment of Spanish engineers in this industrial zone to the current lack of professional opportunities in Spain.
In these meetings, the president presented to the German businessmen, in his major industrial field, the great potential of Spanish engineers, perfectly qualified and prepared, who are willing to develop a professional career in Germany, as well as their professional profiles. Germany, an eminently industrial country, faces a problem with engineers' deficits, as they currently do not graduate in sufficient numbers to meet demand for the labor market.
However, and because our country does not definitively lose all of this human capital, it is also necessary to carry out a "return plan" for professionals. For this reason, Jose Antonio Galdón's visit to Germany had another more fundamental objective: to attract industrial and innovation poles in Spain, encouraging German businessmen from the sector to invest in Spain, making them see the great potential of ours Country, both at the level of infrastructure, as well as in the professional and human capital. In this way, expatriate engineers could return and continue here with their professional career. Another possibility is to get German companies or industries installed in Spain, and Spanish engineers do not have to leave here, in order to carry out their profession.
Inauguration of the "Contact Point"
During his stay in Germany, José Antonio Galdón inaugurated the "Contact Point" in the city of Schwäbisch Hall, through which help and advice on labor matters will be offered to engineers who want to travel to Germany to carry out their profession, like those who want to evolve in the same, or return to Spain after their professional experience in this country, and to be able to continue here their career. The opening of this office in the city of Schwäbisch Hall has been received with great enthusiasm for German political authorities and entrepreneurs, since the objective is to achieve maximum efficiency in attracting talent.
