The Parliament of Catalonia has approved the introduction of a tax on the registration of energy certifications of buildings, whether new or existing. This fee will begin to apply on Monday, February 3 , in the process of processing the energy efficiency certificates, the following modifications will be made:
- Unification of the telematic procedures of energy certification for new buildings and the existing buildings with the consequent reduction of forms and procedures.
- A procedure will be used to request the exemption of the existing certification with the consequent reduction of forms and procedures.
The processing forms currently used can not be used or sent to the registry as of Monday 3 February.
It is necessary to emphasize the need to carefully review the content of the form and the attached documentation before making the payment effective, since any modification that is wanted to make a form already registered will be subject again to the predicted rate.
