In order to help and "accompany" the Industrial Technical Engineers and Graduates in Industrial Branch Engineering to improve their employability and in the development of their professional career, Proempleoingenieros.es has been launched, the first comprehensive employment platform in Spain of a sectoral nature. The official presentation of the Platform took place yesterday in Area 31 of the Instituto de Empresa of Madrid, attended by more than a hundred people, among which were professionals from the group to who is directed, as Human Resources managers and directors of leading companies that hire engineers regularly, and from prestigious companies specializing in the selection of qualified personnel (head hunters).
Proempleoingenieros.es is an initiative created and developed by the General Council of Technical Industrial Engineering of Spain (COGITI), which comprises the 50 Professional Associations distributed throughout the Spanish geography, which, in turn, in addition to 90,000 collegiate. It is born with a completely innovative character, since, on the one hand, it offers a tool through which all existing job offers on the network are collected for the aforementioned professional group and on the other , it is of great help to companies in their personnel selection processes.
Global Services of the Platform
However, this is not just a conventional job search portal, but the Platform also offers a whole host of global services that will undoubtedly help professionals to improve their employability and competitiveness, such as ING Scholarships (information and guidance on all available scholarships to which candidates can apply), First Work Pilot Program (to help young Engineers and graduates in job search), Professional Coaching for Engineers (through personalized online sessions between the coach and the candidate), Professional mentoring program (offers advice from a "mentor" with proven experience, selected by the candidate), and the DPC Accreditation - Continuing professional development (allows to have a "professional brand" and "accredited curriculum" of the candidate's training and experience, highly valued by companies in the selection processes).
This initiative adds to the others that COGITI has carried out in the field of employment, and in collaboration with the SEPE (Public Employment Service), and the Secretary of State for Employment. In addition to the new services, the Proempleoingenieros.es Platform brings together all the actions carried out previously, integrating them into one-to-one services managed entirely online. Each process ends in personalized attention by specialized managers in each one of the areas in question (first occupation pilot, professional coaching, professional mentoring, etc.).
During his speech, the chairman of the General Council of Industrial Technical Engineering of Spain, José Antonio Galdón, emphasized that "from the COGITI and the colleges that make up it, we are fully aware that the best way to serve society is through the work of engineers and the quality and preparation of them, so that we will focus our greatest efforts. "
This new tool has sparked great expectations among engineers, who in recent weeks have been able to test the operation and applications of the same, such as "beta tester".
In addition, the platform has been very well received by companies, who have given their support as "sponsors"; It is the case of companies such as Wolters Kluwer and its magazine Capital Humà (collaborating entity habitual the COGITI), Schindler, Ferrovial, Acciona, Airbus, Telefónica, Sacyr, Siemens, Campofrío, Repsol, Schneider Electric Spain, ABB , or Accenture, among many others; all of them committed to young employment strategies, and through their "sponsorship", will contribute to disseminating and consolidating this initiative.
In the act of yesterday, the presentation of the start up Valigo, by its creators, Gerardo Arroyo and Luis Cornide, was also carried out, a computer tool that has been integrated in www.proempleoingenieros.es, and in what COGITI has entrusted to develop the candidates selection section, through an online video interview service, aimed at both job-seekers and recruiting companies, who, if they wish, can configure the battery of Questions on the automation of job interviews, and more in several languages, which facilitates and streamlines the recruitment process.
The event also featured other interventions, such as the presentation by Blanca Gómez González, Director of Human Resources of Microsoft Iberian, which focused on "How are new technologies in the area of human resources and processes influencing? of recruiting professionals? "
