PRESS RELEASE AND PROPOSAL FOR RESOLUTION TO THE PARLIAMENT OF THE "MORE INDUSTRY PACT"

The approval, today July 13, of a National Agreement for Industry with consensus of all the political groups represented in Parliament means a step forward to tackle the future   of Catalonia with a new industrial economy. The National Agreement / Program Agreement for industry, which the Government of Catalonia is currently committing, must be   the instrument   picture frame   and the roadmap for the deployment in the next decades of a set of measures to place industry in the center of the economy, from political consensus and social dialogue.

This National Agreement for the Industry was born out of the voice and consensus of Catalan civil society grouped in More Industry,   with unions, business organizations, professional colleges and universities.   The broad support that social and economic agents have given to an industrial project for Catalonia in the 21st century compromises the Government and institutions not to deplete to transform all the structures and infrastructures necessary to provide Catalonia with a new economy productive industrial base.

In the complex economic and political situation that the country is experiencing, the union of society and its institutions around an economic and social project is highly significant in order to face the challenges posed by the necessary environmental sustainability and the changes of technological paradigm Restarting the industry is the answer that has consensus today in Catalonia to recover quality welfare and employment.

The whole of the organizations of More Industry remain at the disposal of the Parliament of Catalonia for everything that is derived, and we reaffirm the commitment to continue working to promote industry in Catalonia.
