The Degree in Technical Engineering and Graduate in Engineering of Catalonia (METGEC) has issued a statement announcing its concern
Last May representatives of the METGEC met with the Minister of Interior, Meritxell Borràs, to transfer the concern that technical and degree engineers and engineers suffer when it comes to accessing a job in public tenders which are summoned
"Since the introduction of the Bologna plan, in numerous calls for places for group A1 is excluded from graduate engineers, while in some places of group A2 the administrations are forgetting to include technical engineers."
At the meeting with the counselor, they attended, on behalf of the Technical Engineering and Graduate Degree in Engineering in Catalonia, the Dean of the College of Engineers Graduates and Industrial Technical Engineers of Barcelona, Miquel Darnés i Cereza, and the dean of the College of Technical Engineers and Public Works of Catalonia (CETOP), Xavier Font i Mach.
Both the Minister of Interior and the Director General of Public Function, Susanna Bouis, have undertaken to analyze the situation presented and to promote common criteria between the departments when advertising the places that are the object of the competition.
Tarragona engineers are also part of and is integrated into the METGEC, also other colleges such as the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Girona, the College of Technical Industrial Engineers of Lleida, the College of Technical Engineers Industrials de Manresa, the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Vilanova i la Geltrú, the Official College of Geomatics and Topographic Engineering - Catalonia, the Official Association of Technical Engineers of Mines of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, the Official College of Technical Aeronautical Engineers and the Official College of Naval Technical Experts and Experts.
