The CETIT celebrates its Day with nearly 300 people in Tortosa, for the first time, in support of the territory for the fires of summer in Flix

The College of Technical and Industrial Engineers of Tarragona (CETIT), which also has its headquarters in Tortosa, held on Friday, November 22, the Engineering Day, chaired by the Minister of Territory and Sustainability, Damià Calvet and with the presence of the mayor of Tortosa, Meritxell Roigé, the delegate of the Government in Terres de l'Ebre, Xavier Pallarès and other authorities of the Terres de l'Ebre and the Camp de Tarragona. The event was attended by about 300 people.

  The president of the School, Antoni Escarré, focused on the reason for this meeting, for the first time in Tortosa: in solidarity with the fires suffered by Terres de l'Ebre in Flix during the summer. Likewise, the City Council announced that they should visa projects that have resulted from both the fire and the flood of the Francolí River, they will be free.

  During the Day, the Prize of projects for End of Career Lluís Roca Garcia, in Xavier Carmona, was awarded, which performed a dron to perform gamma radiation measurements; Also, an invitation was given to Gerard Jové, for the design of a universal speed inverter system for a motorcycle with its installation in a rally vehicle for SUVs. The event was attended by the project URVoltage Racing, consisting of about 50 people who make an electric motorcycle competition that will participate next year in a world champion, the MotoStudent, the only university competition in the world, the College of Engineers is one of the sponsors of this initiative.

  Likewise, the new collegiates were welcomed with the imposition of the College badges and the awards were given to the collegiate students who are 25 and 50 years old at the College. For the first time, the award was awarded to the innovation and sustainability that fell into the hands of the company Schütz Ibérica SL in recognition of its path in technological innovation and sustainability towards the environment.

  Before the closing parliaments, the College recognized and honored the work of Juan Garcia Marquès, colleague of those of the year 1961, when he was still the School of Industrial Loss of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands and who was dean from CETIT from 1975 to 2019.

  The closing parliaments, carried out by the Mayor of Tortosa, Meritxell Roigé and the Minister of Sustainability and Territory, Damià Calvet, gave way to an aperitif for all the assistants and to the performance of the group Quico el Cèlio, El Chico and the Mut de Ferreries.
