On Wednesday, February 19th, the Valls Energy Poverty Table presented the Guide to Energy Rights in order to respond to the different individual realities of access to energy and of it as an element of people's well-being. This guide highlights the importance of energy rights and the fact that electricity, water and gas are a basic right that everyone has guaranteed access to.
The guide will be distributed to the Citizen Service Office of the City of Valls and the information will be distributed in 6 sections that cover different energy topics: How can we save energy ?; Can I optimize the power ?; Does time discrimination help me pay less? Am I entitled to a social bonus ?; Can I have water bonuses? And what are my energy rights?
Likewise, the meeting of the Energy Poverty Board has updated the data and projects that are used to generate actions and to network with the different actors related to energy access and the problems that arise from them.
The Panel is formed by Jordi Cartanyà, Councilor for Community Action, Participation and Equality, Xavier Salat, Councilor for Sustainability, Environmental and Natural Services, representatives of Social Services and the Local Plan for Social Inclusion and Housing as Provalls, as well as from the entities of the third sector, Red Cross, Caritas and Egueiro Association, representatives of the supply companies, Sorea, Endesa and Iberdrola and Naturgy and representatives of the Federation of Neighborhood Entities, Platform for Mortgage Affected (PAH) , College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Tarragona, OCIC (Regional Consumer Information Office) of the Alt Camp and the companies IKEA and Inspro-Fenienergia.
