A call for expressions of interest to identify industrial green hydrogen projects within the framework of the European IPCEI initiative has recently been disseminated through the website of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
The information relating to the call, as well as the documentation to be sent by interested companies, can be found at the following link, with the deadline for submitting the required documentation on June 15, 2020:

The aim is to identify R & D & I projects of companies in the manufacturing industry, both in process and in products that allow to combine the development of a competitive industrial offer with the deployment of the uses of hydrogen and / or the associated infrastructure. The projects must cover some of the phases of R & D & / or First Industrial Deployment (FID) as long as this is derived from an R&D activity.
The first industrial deployment is understood to be those investments that involve the transition of pilot facilities on a larger scale or the first equipment and facilities of its kind that cover the later stages of the pilot line, including the experimental stage. or test, but not mass production.
There is currently no specific funding program for these projects in support of their participation in a possible European IPCEI. In any case, the companies will have at their disposal the calls for any of the horizontal lines of aid or financing existing at any given time by any administration for R & D & I projects, and for which they will have to follow the due and required processing in their respective calls and comply with their conditions and requirements. Participation in this notice of expression of interest does not imply access to financing and companies may apply the established procedures for each line of aid to which they may apply.
