Manos Unidas solidarity concert in favor of "Haiti Emergency"

The InCrescendo Chamber Choir, founded in 2008, is made up of nineteen members, united for the purpose of performing and, above all, enjoying a cappella singing. Its repertoire enjoys its own character, thanks to the compositions and arrangements, adapted to its characteristics, made by its director, Eduard Pàmies.

Eduard Pàmies, born in Tarragona, began his studies at the age of 8 at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Tarragona, where he studied piano, obtaining the highest grades each year. He completed his Professional Piano Degree, winning the Extraordinary Prize. He has taken choral conducting courses with renowned masters. He has been director of the Alleluia Choir, Kesse Chamber Choir and Mos Cantars Choir of Tarragona.

Beneficiary project "Earthquake emergency in Haiti"

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the Caribbean due to inappropriate economic policies, scarcity of arable land, environmental degradation, lack of public investment, etc. Manos Unidas has been working in Haiti for over 40 years in the food security sectors. , nutrition and agricultural production, access to water, health and education.

Following the 2010 earthquake, and in the face of the devastation caused, Manos Unidas has been increasing its presence throughout the country, covering most of its 10 departments and incorporating cross-cutting approaches, such as adaptation to climate change, the promotion of women or the defense of human rights.

On August 14, 2021, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake on the Richter scale sowed chaos, death and destruction in Haiti. Manos Unidas contacted several local partners in the area affected by the earthquake and from the outset responded to the most urgent needs, such as water, hygiene products, food or medicine. On September 18, we continue with emergency actions accompanying highly vulnerable families. The local members of Manos Unidas include Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH), América Solidaria, Caritas, Justice and Peace, various religious congregations and grassroots organizations.
