Today, March 26th, a special monograph on the Newspaper of Catalonia on the Omnibus Law takes place.
" If discussing the potential effects of a law is always complex, discussing everything that may lead to the mastodontic Law Omnibus represents a complexity 47 times higher, because this structural reform of the service sector modifies up to 47 state laws. Therefore, it requires understanding, analyzing and assimilating a European directive that considerably affects professional associations, consumers and workers, which focuses on free access to service activities and in its exercise, and that will incorporate the content of the guidelines of the European Parliament regarding services in the internal market to the Spanish legal system.
The publication of this monograph aims to present the discrepancies that arose in the reason of the approval of the law last December and to put on the table all the possible points of view. The conclusions of the different voices that participated in the round table organized by El Periódico de Catalunya were held on March 17 at the headquarters of the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Barcelona. The round table was attended by Josep Oriol, Dean of the College of Civil Engineers, Canals and Ports, by Meritxell Pineda, Director of the Institute of Security Studies (IDES), by Santiago Montaner, Legal advisor to the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Barcelona (CETIB), by Montserrat Torrent, Director of the Organization of Consumers and Users of Catalonia (OCUC), by Joaquim Bernat, Head of the Regulations and Procedures Department of the " Catalan Consumer Agency and Josep Barceló, lawyer of the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia (EIC). "
