The prestigious XVII Human Capital Awards "On Human Resources Management 2013" delivered on May 21, its awards, at an event held at the School of Industrial Organization of Madrid (EOI), and was chaired by the Secretary of State for Employment, Engracia Hidalgo, the general director of the EOI Foundation, Fernando Bayón, the general director of Wolters Kluwer, Josep Aragonés, the director of the magazine Capital Humà, José Antonio Carazo, and the Director of the Department of Human Resources of the DBS (Deusto Business School), Francisco Javier Jiménez.
The jury of the Human Capital Awards, composed of representatives of the main Spanish business schools (IESE, Esade, EADA, School of Business Administration, IE Business School, ESIC, EOI, Comillas, the International Institute of San Elm and Deusto Business School), assessed the innovative nature of the candidature presented by the COGITI, with the DPC Ingenieros Accreditation System, for the award of this prize in the aforementioned category.
The president of the COGITI, José Antonio Galdón Ruiz, collected the statue of the award from the Secretary of State for Employment, Engracia Hidalgo, who valued especially the work that has been carried out by the General Council of Industrial Technical Engineering to support and promote the employability of engineers, as well as the accreditation of professional competences acquired through work experience or non-formal training pathways (continuous professional development - DPC).
For his part, José Antonio Galdón thanked the Human Capital, Wolters Kluwer, and the jury members, in general, the award, and stated that he felt "a happiness contained, since we can not forget the drama of the Unemployment, which affects all the groups, including that of engineers. "
"This award is a stimulus for us to continue working on the path we have undertaken to achieve the mobility, competitiveness and employability of our colleagues. Thanks to our DPC Accreditation System we have highly-qualified engineers, but what we now it is that companies hire them, "he said before the large audience, after receiving the award.
In this edition of the Human Capital Awards, along with the COGITI, have been awarded such prominent companies as ING Direct, Seur, Eroski, Prosegur, Solimat, Peoplematters, and Sodexo, who also collected their corresponding awards in the categories of Strategic Policy of Training and Development, and of Internal Communication, Integral Management of Human Resources, Innovation, and Welfare, respectively. The Prize for Research Projects in Human Resources was also awarded, which fell to Alejandro Truc.
The awards, on an annual basis, were set up by the magazine "Capital Humà" (www.capitalhumano.wke.es) in 1997, and since then they have been a reference point in Human Resources. The purpose of these awards is to recognize and highlight the best policies, paths and actions in the field of Human Resource Management of Spanish companies and organizations.
