Between January and July around 10,000 visits were made to construction companies and fines were proposed for more than 3.7 million euros.
The Labor Inspection and the skilled technicians of the Department of Labor and Industry of the Generalitat de Catalunya have opened a total of 1,098 sanctioning files from companies in the construction sector for non-compliance with the Occupational Risk Prevention Law from January to July. These acts entail fines amounting to € 3.7 million.
As a result of the visits, more than nine thousand requirements for safety and health deficiencies have been made. Even, the Labor Inspection has paralyzed a total of 78 works throughout Catalonia for serious and imminent risk.
