The Professional Association Board is a professional platform created to defend the collective interests and provide points of view in the big issues of the city and the territory. The Board has recently met the Rovira i Virgili University Rector, María José Figueras, with the aim of continuing to add points of view and creating links with the civil society in Tarragona. The Board, which has already held several meetings in recent months, aims to become an apolitical platform that brings together the various professional bodies in Tarragona, as well as safeguarding their collective interests, providing views and professional skills in all those questions that have to do with the development of the city and the territory.
At the meeting held at the headquarters of the Illustrious Bar Association of Tarragona, the URV's rector applauded the initiative of this Board and encouraged them to defend the Knowledge Region project, a program initiated by the URV and the Tarragona Provincial Council, which intends to act as a common front of the territory, bringing together universities, administrations and productive fabric to promote the economic and social progress of the demarcation. The members of the Board committed themselves to incorporating this Knowledge Region project into their agenda, an agenda that will integrate in the next months the most transversal and urgent needs of Tarragona to provide their grain of sand at the time of face common to defend them.

- Promote spaces for meeting and participation with the administrations, institutions and other organisms of the territory.
- Promote, in an open, transparent and transversal way synergies to fight against corruption, promote gender equality, access to justice for all, end poverty, guarantee a healthy life and promote universal well-being.
- To promote the establishment of working groups to implement research and development activities, taking advantage of the experience and knowledge with the most efficient resources of each professional group.
