We give our support to the citizens and municipalities affected by the temporary Gloria, especially to those in the province of Tarragona and especially to those in the Terres de l'Ebre, due to floods and damage to the Ebro Delta. It is estimated that the sea has entered about 3 km inland and flooded more than 3,000 ha of rice fields, one third of the existing ones. This has blurred our map and we must hope it can be recovered as soon as possible.
From CETIT we will support any initiative of the local administrations so that this area is declared a catastrophic zone and that actions are taken for the conservation of the Ebro Delta and the protection of this Natural Biosphere Reserve of vitally important environmental and economic importance for our territory.
