Caja de Ingenieros has announced a package of measures following the decree of the State of Alarm to help its partners in the economic situation generated by the COVID-19 and provide them with effective solutions and rapid implementation to cover the your financial needs. In addition to making improvements in products and services, the Institution adheres to all public financing initiatives with a guarantee, as well as to the mortgage moratorium.
As for the package of measures approved for individuals, Caja de Ingenieros has increased the amount of the Payroll Bestreta for members with the direct debit payroll, from 1 to 1.5 times, as well as its return period of 2 at 6 months. In order to facilitate purchases or the disposition of cash so that members can face possible unforeseen circumstances, the Institution will also extend the limit on credit cards for individuals and professionals with more cooperative activity, assuming an increase of 57 % with respect to the previous limits.
On the other hand, with the aim of improving the conditions of purchases with installments through credit cards, the Institution will reduce the interest rate on deferred payments, a measure aimed at both individuals and professionals, with different modalities. and conditions - for example, new installments of purchases at 3 and 6 months at 0% -. In addition, Caixa d'Enginyers, in line with the guidelines of the EBA (acronym in English of the European Banking Authority), will improve the service of the contactless system in credit and debit cards, increasing the payment limit without the need for PIN code from € 20 to € 50 per transaction, and will also make it easier for its members to access personal loans in person (Payroll and Investment Loan) of up to € 30,000.
With regard to the most vulnerable groups, Caja de Ingenieros adheres to the moratorium on the share of the housing acquisition mortgage, which involves the suspension of the debt during the term of the State of Alarm, of the early maturity clause and the payment of the fee. To access the moratorium, you must justify unemployment or loss of turnover of 40%, and other conditions such as the mortgage fee plus expenses are greater than 35% of current income, and that the effort that represents the mortgage burden on family income has multiplied by at least 1.3 points.
With regard to the business and professional field, Caja de Ingenieros will implement the exemption from the commission for maintenance of POS (Point of Sale Terminal) for those businesses affected by the State of Alarm, a measure already applied to the March commission which will remain in force and be adapted for the duration of this exceptional situation. On the other hand, the Institution promotes different lines of financing for companies and the self-employed with a public guarantee of up to 80%, thus adhering to the ICO lines, offering loans for a maximum amount of 1.5 million euros (expandable depending on the applicant's circumstances), and on the ICF and Avalis lines, with a maximum amount of 2.5 million euros per applicant.
According to the Director of Banking Business of Caja de Ingenieros, Juanjo Llopis, the Institution always prioritizes the partners, who are the center of its activity, adapting the offer to the new reality: “In exceptional moments such as those that we are living, we want to be with our partners, so that they can move forward with their day to day and their activity, and continue to offer them a high quality, transparent, local, and high value service ”.
