CIRCULAR CODE: 09/09
Noise can cause users of the buildings risk of discomfort and illness if the characteristics of the project, construction, use and maintenance are not adequate.
Noise must be limited, so buildings must be designed, constructed and maintained in an appropriate way to reduce noise transmission.
OBJECTIVE of the course:
- Know the requirements of the CTE-DB-HR and the main differences with the NBE-CA-88.
- Know the requirements of the Municipal Ordinances of Noise and Vibrations (acoustics in the building).
- Learn to use the two options of design and dimensioning of the CTE DB-HR: simplified option and general option (UNE-EN 12354).
- Know the methodology of acoustic insulation measures in situ.
- Know the appropriate construction systems.
- Know the typical errors of execution and know how to correct them.
- See real cases of acoustic insulation.
ADDRESSED to all the technicians involved in the construction process of the building.
DATES AND TIMETABLE: Thursday, February 26, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

1. On-site acoustic insulation tests: methodology.
2. Regulatory framework:
a. Municipal ordinances.
b. New CTE DB HR: requirements, design and dimensioning.
3. Construction solutions and execution.
4. Sound insulation tests in situ: results.
DOCUMENTATION: course tracking documentation will be provided.
TEACHER: Rubén López Tortosa, Technical Engineer in Telecommunication, Image and Sound. Responsible for the acoustics area of the ATISAE Construction Business Unit, in Barcelona.
CERTIFICATION: A certificate of attendance will be given to the course. Minimum attendance of 80% of the teaching hours.
