On Wednesday, October 6, the Cluster of Fire Safety organized the "How to certify passive protection facilities" jointly with the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Tarragona. The new SP 136 and the best practices guide "With the assistance of more than forty assistants from different fields: administrations, installers and maintenance companies, engineers. The day was attended by the College of Industrial Engineers, College of Technical Architects and Firemen of the Generalitat.
The welcome was attended by Núria Llosas, member of the CETIT board, and Dolors Costa, coordinator of the Passive Protection GT and board member of the Cluster of Fire Safety that thanked for massive assistance
The day was distributed in four tables.
In the first table, the first paper was given by Félix González, deputy director and head of the Emergency Prevention Unit of Tarragona de Bombers of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who presented the SP 136 of the Certification d ' Installations or application of passive fire protection products
The following presentation was given by Dolors Costa, who presented the Guide to good practices for passive protection against fires
After a pause, the day was resumed exemplifying how the Guide is connected to the SP 136 in order to demonstrate documentally that passive protection facilities are safe.
Thus, Albert Pérez, technical director of ALFATORRES, Xenia Lopez, Business Development Manager of INTISI, Daniel Juscafresa, technical director of General Ignifugaciones, Llorenç Domingo, CEO of IGNITOR Productos Inifugos. The table continued with a colloquium time in which all the assistants were able to make their doubts to the speakers and discussed extensively on some details of the Guide.
Finally, it was possible to enjoy a multidisciplinary table in which Josep Anguera's interventions could be heard from the Association of Surveyors, Technical Architects of Tarragona, and Ms. Elia Muns, technical director of PCI at EICON.
With a final debate, the act was finished with the feeling that interdisciplinary work and the commitment of all parties - administration, company and professionals - facilitates the task and helps to advance in a fundamental objective: to improve the security of all the facilities.
